Overview

This is a quaint little hike that loops you through the grasslands in Malibu Creek State Park. Along the way you will have nice views of both Liberty Canyon and Malibu Canyon.

Directions To Trailhead

Driving from Highway 101/Ventura Freeway, take the Las Virgines Road towards the beach. On Mulholland Drive take a right and then park on the right side of the street when you see the trailhead for the Grasslands Trail.

Trail Description

From where you have parked at the beginning of the Grasslands Trail, you will cross over Liberty Creek and then connect with the Talepop trail itself. Once on Talepop, you will climb up onto a ridgeline with great views of the canyons on either side.

Conditions And Hazards

There is very little shade on the trail, so bring water and sunscreen.
