A great loop trail through several trails to Stinson Beach in Mount Tamalpais State Park. Along the way you will see a couple nice waterfalls that run along Webb Creek.
Driving up Highway 101 to Highway 1 toward Mill Valley. Drive along Highway 1 for about 12 miles to the Panoramic Highway just before Stinson Beach and turn right onto the Panoramic Highway. Park at the Dipsea Trail trailhead parking area on the left side of the road.
Starting at the parking area on the Dipsea Trail, you will climb gradually with many different ocean views until you reach a junction with the Steep Ravine Trail. This is where the trail will climb the most, about 1000 feet over 1.6 miles. At the top of this climb you will reach the Pantoll ranger station.
Along the top you will find 2 interesting waterfalls along the creek on the Steep Ravine Trail. After this you will cross the road and head back down to Stinson Beach on the actual Matt Davis Trail. This will loop you back down.
