A quick and beautiful loop walk down to the Great Oyster Bay with views of The Hazards mountains in Freycinet National Park.
To get to Freycinet National Park, head north from Hobart on the Tasman Highway (A3). Once you pass Swansea, watch for signs to Freycinet National Park and then take a right at the turnoff for Coles Bay.
When you get to the visitor center, find parking and then look for the sign for the Great Oyster Bay Walk.
The trail is a simple to follow unpaved walk. Once you get to the several-way junction, head left toward the bay and the beach, where you can walk along and enjoy the views.
Coming back up, head straight to get back to the car park to complete the loop.
No hazards, very family and elderly friendly.
The fee for the national park is $24 per vehicle (or $12 per person if coming by foot or bicycle).
There is a visitor center where you pay for your ticket that provides maps and has toilets and information.
