CleverTrail:Adding Trails

First and foremost, you do not need to log in or have an account to add a trail to CleverTrail. Please feel free to add content and know that other users will review it!

Before adding a trail, you might want to check out the Best Practices page for tips on the best and most effective way to add trails. The Editing Trails page also gives a more comprehensive overview of what information is included when adding the information for a trail.

To add a trail, click the "add trail" button in the toolbar at the top of the page. A textbox will appear, and you can enter the name of the trail you wish to create. The case of the words do not matter, as the first letter of each word will automatically be capitalized. If the trail already exists, you will be redirected to the Edit Trail page of the trail, otherwise a similar looking Create Trail page will display that will allow you to add information to the trail.

If you want to add a trail with the same name as an existing one, you should create or edit an existing Disambiguation Page while you are adding it. You can find more information about Disambiguation Pages here.
